Stone Real Estate - Carrara

GOLD COAST: Stone Real Estate, the country's fastest-growing real estate business, is expanding once again with a new office opening in the heartland of Queensland’s booming Gold Coast.

Stone Real Estate’s new Carrara office brings the number of offices now servicing the growing South East Queensland market to ten.

Burleigh Heads local Scott Campbell, a highly respected agent with 23 years’ experience, takes the lead as Principal of Stone Carrara. Supported by a small team of six, the office will service the areas of: Carrara, Ashmore, Benowa, Merrimac, Nerang and Bundall. Mr Campbell has worked in the area for the past seven years and owned an office for the past five. He started his real estate career under the Jenman Group at Burleigh Heads Real Estate, before moving to REOL Burleigh Heads, Realty Blue Burleigh Heads and later Ray White Robina.

Mr Campbell said despite recent economic headwinds, there are plenty of opportunities for the astute purchaser.

“The market is buoyant with numerous enquiries but buyers are exercising caution in their decision making. Stock is tight at the moment but there is plenty of great value across the region,” he said.

“My primary focus is on the Emerald Lakes Estate - with most buyers being downsizers. There is a definite shortage of quality listings and quite strong demand for certain property types. The lower end of the market up to $600,000 is really strong with plenty of first home buyers trying to get in the market.”

“The median price for apartments is around $700,000, while for homes in the area, the median price is around the $900,000 mark. For buyers looking for value, the best areas at the moment are Nerang and Merrimac, while Bundall is always at the top end of the market and not as affordable.”

Mr Campbell said it was an easy choice to make the switch to Stone Real Estate once he got to know the wider team.

“In my previous role, I was working at a small, independent boutique agency with about 50 percent market share in the direct market of Emerald Lakes but not much exposure outside of the estate. I had big plans to grow the business to the next level but felt I needed some guidance to do that. I had no interest in joining one of the big franchise groups, so I researched Stone and liked what I saw and felt I could be a good fit. I then received a call from Gary Hassett from Stone and we caught up. I had no hesitation jumping on board. I attended the Leaders’ Conference in Noosa and met some great people which totally reinforced the decision I made to join Stone Real Estate.”

Gary Hassett, Head of Business Growth for Stone Real Estate in Queensland said: The addition of Scott and his team is a momentous event for Stone Real Estate, especially for our strategic growth plans in South-East Queensland. Scott’s leadership, acumen, expertise and resolute market presence in his preferred areas render him an invaluable asset for Stone.

“It is worth noting that Scott's values and growth aspirations are perfectly aligned with Stone's, creating a symbiotic relationship that bodes well for the future.  We are thrilled about partnering with Scott and his team and being an integral part of his future growth trajectory.  Indeed, with Scott's arrival, we are all geared up to embark on a transformative journey that will elevate our standing within the South-East Queensland marketplace and beyond.”

In addition to the Carrara office, Stone has a physical presence across South East Queensland, with offices in: Aspley, Coomera, Golden Beach, Logan, Logan West, North Lakes, Palm Beach, Southport and Warner.
