Right now, due to the impacts of COVID-19, Make-A-Wish Australia has more than 800 critically ill children waiting for a wish.
To help make these wishes come true, guests and crew of Hungry Jack’s can donate to Make-A-Wish by purchasing Wishmaker Stars ($1, $2 and $5) at their local restaurant and via Hungry Jack’s digital channels during the month of February until March 8.
Hungry Jack’s Chief Marketing Officer, Scott Baird, said Make-A-Wish makes an incredible impact on the lives of seriously ill children and their families.
“Hungry Jack’s is thrilled to be working with the community to help make the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses become a reality,” said Mr Baird.
“We encourage everyone to get behind the Wishmaker campaign because every Wish and Wish Journey changes a child’s life for the better, having long lasting effects on the child and their family,” Mr Baird added.
Make-A-Wish has been supporting critically ill children in the Australian community for the past 35 years bringing much needed hope and joy for kids when they need it most.
Sally Bateman, Chief Executive of Make-A-Wish, said the need for community support in 2021 is greater than ever before.
“With the disruption and ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we now have more children than ever waiting for their wish to come true. With no ongoing government funding, Make-A-Wish relies on the incredible generosity and support from the community and valued partners like Hungry Jack’s to help make these wishes possible,” said Ms Bateman.
“Hungry Jack’s is an integral part of our Wish Force and has supported Make-A-Wish since 2017, which we are incredibly grateful for,” Ms Bateman said.
